Maand or Marwar festival: It is one of the most popular festivals of Jodhpur which is celebrated during the Hindu month of Ashwin i.e. September to October. Nagaur Fair: Celebrated for eight days, Nagaur fair is seen as the second biggest fairs in India. It is celebrated every year during the month of January-February. During the fair, around 70 thousand bullocks, camels and horses are traded. Cattle owners decorate their animals beautifully before to sell in this fair. Besides that, the fair is also famous for its Mirchi Bazaar, wooden items and products made of camel leathers.
Jodhpur International Desert Kite Festival: It is celebrated on 14th January on the occasion of
Makar Sankranti with full enthusiasm. It is a three-day festival which held at the Polo Ground of this city. The best part of this festival is the kites flying in the sky making it quite colorful and lively. The Helicopters of Air force also releases many kites from above making the entire atmosphere a pleasant sight to watch.
